Top retailer Selfridges were seeking to raise the profile of their food hall offering in a bid to increase consumer awareness and increase sales. Flex Media were asked to conceive and execute a one off press campaign within a short time frame. We identified the angle, a new range of handmade cupcakes created by a former CSI officer from the Met Police who had left the Force to set up her own bakery.
The story, “From CSI to Selfridges” caught the attention of a host of regional media and was featured in a full-page article within the Manchester Evening News with additional coverage on BBC and Independent radio stations and within a host of magazines and local press. The results were an increase in sales and footfall within Selfridges Food Hall.
